Your body will hurt even more. I practice with my team 3 nights a week on skates, and we have 1 off skate workout. You gotta work your way toward that Derby Bum!
I see I have gotten you attention with the word bum. Let me explain.

After working out 3 nights a week, and it is most definitely a workout, most of which is based in the leg bum area, after a while you will notice not only have you lost weight in the bum area, but it is high and firm. Makes ya wanna join doesn't it ladies? So at the very least if you never bout, and that would be a shame, you will have a butt that won't quit!
In order to get this squeezable awesomeness you must first endure pain. Pain from falling, which will happen. Pain from using muscles you didn't know you had, and the sheer pain from pushing yourself to a limit you didn't know you had all while laughing with your derby girls. Even through this training and pain it is fun. You will form a bond with your team as you work hard, sweat hard and play harder. I have been with my derby girls for about 6 weeks, and these are some of the toughest, awesome woman I have ever met. They help you push through, and make you smile. I love going to practice, and I cannot wait to get out on the track with these girls and kick some high firm derby bum.
But right now I can't walk cause my legs hurt so bad from practice yesterday.
My last piece of advice, if you go to the gym, do not go to Body Pump in the morning and Derby practice at night. Ow! ow ow ow owwwy ow ow!
