When we practice at an arena it costs us $150 for 2 to 3 hours, depending on the arena. Add this up, 3 times a week $450, 4 weeks in the month $1800 a month. That's allot of money, really allot of fundraising, we work our butts off to raise money so we can practice in arena for as long as possible before the ice it put into place and we are kicked out by hockey players.
So when you show up and no one is there to let you in, it's pretty disheartening. But you pop your skates on and make the most of it.
When it happens 2 times in a month, well now we're just pissed. Again we made the most of it, although when I hit a rock and fell, I was done skating in the parking lot. I don't need to get hurt, and neither does Creepy.
So after Dii Mented spoke to useless person after useless person on the phone, all of which were unwilling to assist her in any way, we went back to her and Pixel Ninja's (our coach) place and learned how to properly clean our bearings.
Considering the beginning of the night was kind of depressing, I certainly think we did our best to make the most of it. We have the arena booked for a few more weeks on Friday nights, I hope someone shows up to let us in from now on. Twice in one month is pretty pathetic.
